A breath of fresh air for your tenants,
your budget and your carbon footprint.

Promethium delivers a breath of fresh air. To your tenants, your budget and the environment. Our innovative PLANT System delivers higher quality air to your building’s tenants, while reducing your energy bill and your building’s carbon footprint. It is a win-win-win comprehensive solution for building owners and managers looking to:

A Sustainable Solution for Clean Air at a Savings

As a building owner or operator, three of the top concerns are providing a healthy and productive environment for your building’s occupants, reducing your operating costs and lowering your carbon footprint.

Promethium’s innovative PLANT system effectively addresses all of these three concerns with a win-win-win solution that purifies 99.99% of indoor air, delivers up to 23% HVAC energy savings per year and reduces your building’s carbon footprint. As a long-term commercial solution for mitigating the risk of airborne viruses, wildfire smoke, and an endless list of pollutants such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), Promethium’s PLANT system specializes in removing noxious gasses and virus particles from the occupied space which offers an alternative to the energy intensive method of introducing more outdoor air to clean the indoor space. Supplemented with quiet and cost-effective HEPA filtration, the PLANT system is the best solution to improve your indoor air quality.

How It Works

The PLANT system works by utilizing three key technologies to purify up to 5,000 cfm in duct or push 1,600 cfm in room. For use, the system can be mounted on either the supply or return side of the air handling unit (AHU) or completely separated from the ducting as an in-room system. As air flows into the system a pre-filter will remove larger particulates as a “combing phase” and the purification step will follow as air travels through a True HEPA filter and into the heart of the photocatalytic reactor. The reactor core is where fine particles and gaseous pollutants are removed, and clean air is sent into the occupied space without producing any harmful byproducts. Using the IAQP inside of the ASHRAE 62.1 standard, outside air ventilation rates can be reduced by 40% to reduce overall building energy use.

Each PLANT model can be seamlessly installed into both the HVAC plenum and wall mounted into a room setting for a non-invasive air purification solution. Air will silently flow through the intake where it will be treated with a high-fidelity pre-filter, an award-winning photocatalytic solution, and a post filter. The purified air will leave the system and enter the occupied space. The PLANT in duct and in room models can treat 5,000 cfm and 2,500 ft2, respectively. Many PLANTs can be used in conjunction to treat higher quantities of air.

The system comes equipped with an LCD display to show maintenance times and, in the case of the wall mounted unit, a variable speed option.

ASHRAE Standard 62.1 Two modes of operation:
  1. Ventilation Rate Procedure (VRP) – A protocol used to determine the rate of outdoor air that should be introduced into a room based on square footage and occupancy of a specific zone type. This Procedure assumes all zone types need the same ventilation rates, which can be very inefficient at times.
  2. Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP) – A performance protocol that determines the rate of outdoor air based on IAQ measures and staying under design limits (DLs) using a combination of outdoor air and air cleaners.

Seamless Installation

The simplistic installation process for the duct mounted model consists of removing a section of plenum and replacing it with the PLANT. Transition ducting may be necessary depending on ducting size and shape pre and post system. Both systems require 120V power and accessible sides after mounting to ensure the ease of filter replacement. The in-room PLANT model will be effortlessly suspended using ceiling hangers or placed on a cart for mobile use. Each configuration is shown below.
